Feel it on my finger tips, hear it on my window pane

The rains are finally here, but the met department does not seem to think so. Whatever they may say, the people of Mumbai are extremely happy. This was apparent on Sunday when Chrys and I decided to go down to Pizzaria at Marine Drive. We wanted to drive down on the bike, but seeing the light shower we decided against it. At first we had a clear view of the sea from Pizzaria (Next to 'Not just Jazz by the Bay'). Gradually the crowds started increasing. We then decided to take a walk along the drive. It turned out to be more of a pushing and jostling session 'coz like us, thousands of others had decided on a walk at just the same time. Even then it was a beautiful evening with the strong breeze from the sea and the overcast sky letting the sun peep out once in a while.
We met one of Chrys' friends, a young man, who had come out to take a jog. But he complained that he couldn't go five paces without bumping into someone. We estimated that there must have been around 15-20 thousand people along Marine Drive that day.
This morning while I was at a doctor's clinic, the receptionist commented that it was raining outside. The maid who was scrubbing the floor, looked out of the window and commented... 'Hey kai paus ahe? Paus mhanje dho dho padayche'... meaning Unless it rains cats and dogs, it ain't raining!

Yeah, you can't really call this rain. The rain that we are used to. But it is still a welcome change from the summer. :)

Well, as Chrys says, there are just two seasons in Mumbai... Summer and Mild Summer
