Chrys and I have been thinking of adopting since some time now. It's a big decision and we didn't want to take the plunge till we felt totally ready for it. Finally on Christmas day last year, we visited an orphanage in Mumbai. It was tough finding the place because it's deep inside a village (yes, there are such places inside a city too :)). By the time we got there we were nervous, at least I was. We met a kindly yet stern lady who explained the procedure and gave us a list of things we need to get before we could register. It was a long list. So since the last couple of months we have been putting together everything on that list and we are almost done. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we should be able to register. Then it will be a wait of almost one year before we can hold a baby in our arms.
